Design History: Women and Landscape

How landscape and history influence young Scottish designers

To celebrate the “Hear Women’s Voices” theme of Dundee Women’s Festival, Leanne Fischler and Laura Geyer discuss how they are influenced by the landscape and history as well as sharing their ambitions for the future of design.

With a different focus each time, this monthly event explores Scotland’s rich design history. The series will look at historical examples of design, as well as how history influences contemporary designers. Most sessions feature two speakers making fascinating connections between the past and present.

Curated by Polly Duplock (Senior Lecturer, Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design) and David Jones (Design Historian).
