Scottish Design Galleries: Uncovering LGBTQIA+ stories
Due to unforeseen circumstances, this talk has been postponed. We apologise for any inconvenience.
Join us online to discover the queer histories and connections of objects in our Scottish Design Galleries.
A representative of our LGBTQIA+ group will be joined by curator Meredith More to discuss our developing project designed to uncover stories of LGBTQIA+ lives in our Scottish Design Galleries.
Hear about the fascinating queer histories and connections discovered through our objects, from subversive fashion to suffragette banners to Ray Petri’s styling for The Face magazine. Together we will also explore inspirational examples of practice from other organisations, reflect on why uncovering and sharing queer stories is important for us to do, and share our starting points for making change.
Join us online - everyone is welcome.
This event will be BSL interpreted by Bruce Cameron and Nicolle Murdoch.
