The Look: Westwood

Eunice Olumide, Tolu Coker, Dorothy Arnott and Jimmy Campbell explore the work of designer and political activist, Vivienne Westwood.

From her humble beginnings on Portobello Road to becoming a recognised global brand, Vivienne Westwood DBE RDI is one of British fashion's most famous – and most provocative – designers.

The Look is a panel discussion hosted by Scottish supermodel, actor and philanthropist, Eunice Olumide MBE, and invites leading fashion experts to discuss the work and ethos of a prolific designer.

Tolu Coker is an illustrator, fashion and textile designer. Largely inspired by the politics of identity and social climates, her work extends beyond the medium of clothing, with her illustrations, documentaries and fashion films being commissioned by brands and institutions from Maison Martin Margiela to Tate Modern.

Jimmy Campbell studied at The Scottish College of Textiles in Galashiels and obtained a BSc (Hons) in the chemistry of textiles and dyes. After graduating in 1991, joined Halley Stevensons six months later, learning the business from its grass-roots as an apprentice dyer. Jimmy is now Managing Director of the company.

Dorothy Arnott graduated in 2013 from the University of Dundee’s, Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design, where she gained her BDes (hons) in Textile Design. With a flare and passion for design Dot manages the marketing within the business. With an excellent team of people in the business who all have different skills, knowledge and experience this allows Halley Stevensons product development process to continually push boundaries to withstand the test of time.
