Quant and Bazaar

Step inside the world of '60s fashion retailing, transformed by Quant through her boutique Bazaar

Join our Curator Kirsty Hassard in the video below to explore the way Mary Quant disrupted the fashion retailing landscape of the 1960s with her boutique Bazaar, and the shopping shock waves it sent across the UK.

Quant's unique approach to retailing, from window displays to fashion shows, filled Bazaar with the unrivalled vibrancy that became synonymous with her brand, going way beyond the simple merchandising of clothes.

This talk took place on Wednesday 28 October 2020, it also includes closed captions provided by Stagetext and BSL interpretation by Linda Duncan and Julie Wilson.

Our Mary Quant exhibition is now closed. You can still enjoy videos and stories relating to the exhibition here.
