We would like to thank all of the hundreds of people who completed the National Art Library’s recent user satisfaction survey.
Each year there are around 35,000 visits to our Library, while many more people use our online services including making enquiries, placing copying orders, consulting subject guides and looking at ebooks.
The information gained from your survey responses helps us improve these services and facilities. Many of our innovations, including our much improved digital copying facilities and longer opening hours, are the result of us listening and responding to your previous feedback.
Your feedback in this survey was overwhelmingly positive, with lots of appreciation being shown for our services. You particularly liked the coverage of the Library’s collection and the friendliness and helpfulness of our staff! Areas that were highlighted for possible improvement were our catalogue’s search facility and the online ordering process, both of which we are examining at the moment. We will let you know as soon as any of your suggestions have been put into practice.
We also now know a lot more about our readers. We have visitors from all over the world, and across a wide age range. People researching for work and study still make up the majority of our visitors, but around 35% of you are visiting just for personal research. We’re glad to hear that the National Art Library really does seem to have something for everybody.
Of course, you don’t have to wait until the next survey comes out to give us your feedback. Use our comments page to tell us what you think.
