We’re very proud of our volunteer guides who ensure that our LGBTQ Gallery Tours take place every month. We have had well over a 1,500 people join us in the Museum for these tours – that’s a lot of people and a lot of LGBTQ history being shared!
However, we know that there are many of you who aren’t able to make it along to the Museum in person. This meant we were very excited to be able to undertake a particularly special tour – one that people from around the world could join us on!
On 26th February, we joined together with the i-newspaper to broadcast our first ever live online tour. People watched live online, sharing comments and asking questions as the tour was taking place. The recording of the tour is still available to view online and so far has been viewed over 11,000 times, receiving plenty of heartening comments, likes and shares. Thank you for the positive feedback!
For those of you who haven’t yet seen it, I suggest making a cup of tea and putting your feet up for 50 minutes or so … and roll film!
